Google GSuite Service disruption on Tuesday January 29, 2019

Google reported a service issue with all of the Google Services (including Gmail, Drive, and Calendar)  starting at  approximately 6:50  AM today. The latest Google Status information is available at:

The issue was resolved at approximately 7:39 AM.

Network outage at Pitman Hall on Friday January 11, 2019

On Friday January 11, 2019 at 8:30 AM, CCS received an alert about network outage at Pitman Hall building. Network Services team had to reboot the network switch servicing this building and service resumed at 10:15.

Phones outage at TRSM on Friday January 4, 2019

CCS has been informed that all the phones in TRSM building stopped working.  The issue has been escalated to the vendor for support.

Email delivery delays – Friday, November 30, 2018

On Friday, Nov. 30,  2018 starting at approximately 9:30 AM there have been reports of delays in email deliveries.

CCS is investigating the issue and will provide an update as soon as possible.

Update 2:30 PM: The issue was discovered and fixed and the email queue was cleared by 12:15 PM.

Intermittent WIFI issues – Tuesday, November 20, 2018

The Ryerson Network team is aware of an ongoing issue with the Ryerson Wireless Network.  Some users are  experiencing difficulty obtaining a connection and/or logging in.

Network Engineering is currently investigating the issue with the vendor to resolve the issue. Further details will be provided when available.

Update:

A workaround has been implemented on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 9:20 AM to resolve the issue.

Intermittent Internet access on Friday October 26, 2018

On Friday October 26, 2018 at 8:00 AM, CCS monitoring systems indicated there is a longer than usual delay to access internet resources. The problem traced to external internet name servers. Network services team moved Ryerson to use another set of internet name servers and services resumed at 9:00 AM.

Intermittent network connectivity at SCC building on Thursday October 25, 2018

On Thursday October 18, 2018 at 9:50 AM, CCS monitoring systems indicated there is an issue causing intermittent network connectivity to SCC building. The issue with wired and wireless network connectivity was resolved and services were resumed at 11:10 AM.
