On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, one of Ryerson University’s internet links failed due to a service interruption from the service provider’s side (GTANet), resulting in its internet traffic failing over to another backup link from a secondary service provider (Cogent). The GTANet link was down from 10:01 AM to 10:13 AM. Clients accessing the Internet from Ryerson’s internal network would have experienced a momentary interruption to web services at the time of the start of the disruption. External VPN clients would also have lost connection. We are following up with GTANet for incident analysis and support.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cased you.
