The my.ryerson portal is currently unresponsive (it takes ten minutes to log in), as of 7:10 AM this morning. Technical support has been contacted.
Update 8:30 AM: The portal has returned to service but without the courses and organizations module. To access your courses and organizations click on the my courses and organizations tab.

To address a recurring problem that causes the my.ryerson portal to become unresponsive, CCS will make some configuration changes to the my.ryerson.ca portal and the Web service that caused the problem. Access to my.ryerson.ca may be intermittent during the change planned for between midnight – 00:30 AM tonight.

The my.ryerson portal became unresponsive at 8:23 PM this evening due to a problem with a Web service required for rending part of the my.ryerson page/tab. The Web service was restarted at approximately 8:45. uPortal’s servers were also restarted and service was restored by 9:00 PM.

Service on My.ryerson.ca was interrupted this afternoon for approximately 30 minutes. A service invoked when a user logs on to my.ryerson.ca became unresponsive.
Full service was restored following a restarted at 3:57 PM. CCS continues to investigate the underlying cause of the problem.

A nightly backup job that normally runs between 2 AM – 6 AM on GWP2 failed to complete and prevented the startup of the post office agent. The server was power cycled and services were restored around 6:45 AM. The affected user community included various administrative staff groups.

At approximately 1 AM on Saturday September 8, 2012 the wireless service across campus will be disrupted for about 5 minutes.
CCS will be adding a wireless network in the new MAC building.

The wireless network was unavailable in the Library, Podium and Jorgenson Hall buildings this morning. The issue was first reported at 7:20 AM this morning. Network Services restored services by 7:45 AM. The outage was caused by an unresponsive system process.
