Jabber phone client outage on Friday June 28, 2024 at 10 AM

On June 28, 2024 at 10:00 AM , the CCS telecom team received alerts that some users of Jabber, the phone system client, were unable to login. The telecom team is working with the vendor to investigate and will keep you updated.

Update at 12:30 AM on June 29

The issue was traced to CAS authentication and has been resolved and Jabber logging resumed

eHR outage on Friday June 21,2024

After a scheduled maintenance for the eHR servers on Friday June 21, 2024 at 7 PM, the eHR server failed to reboot causing an outage to the eHR application.

CCS technical teams are investigating the issue and working with the vendor to resolve the issue.

UPDATE: The issue has been resolved and services are restored as of approximately 10:36 PM.

D2L Brightspace Intermittent Unavailability May 2, 2024 (06:04 – 06:26 AM)

CCS received a report from D2L that D2L Brightspace was intermittently unavailable in the early morning Thursday, May 2, 2024 starting at 06:04 AM. D2L has resolved the issue and service has been restored as of 06:26 AM.

Problem with D2L Fetch to MyServiceHub

As of April 19th 2024, the final grades fetch process is currently not working as expected. Our teams are investigating this issue.

A fix applied on Friday evening, April 19 around 6:30 PM and the issue was resolved.

Network access problems on Thursday April 11, 2024

On Thursday April 11 at approximately 03:10 AM, administrative printing and other remote access services stopped working due to some firewall rules that were accidentally disabled.    CCS became aware of the issue around 2 PM and the firewall rules were restored to resolve the problem as of 3:05 PM.

Wireless Network outage on Monday March 18, 2024 at 4:45 PM

On Monday March 18 at 4:45 PM, CCS got alerts about wireless authentication failures all over the campus. Network and IT Security teams are troubleshooting the issue

Microsoft Azure authentication failure on Friday, January 26, 2024

At approximately 10:35 AM on Friday, January 26, 2024, EUC staff discovered that Azure Pass-thru Authentication was not working. This impacts the ability of staff, faculty, and students to login into Microsoft 365, Adobe, and any other third-party application using Azure AD for authentication.

CCS is currently investigating the cause of the problem.

UPDATE 12:35 PM

Authentication started working again around 12:30 PM following a “disable” and “enable” reset of the service on Microsoft Azure. We are not sure why this resolved the issue and will continue investigation to see if we can determine the root cause.

WiFi Network interruption on Thursday Jan 18 from 9:15 to 9:40 AM

On Thursday Jan 18 at 9:15 AM, some of the WiFi wireless access points were mistakenly reconfigured causing them to lose connectivity .

The problem was rectified at 9:40 AM and services were resumed.

Network outage at MER & DAL buildings on Monday Jan 15, 2024

On Sunday Jan 14 at 10PM, CCS started to receive alerts about outage at MER and DAL buildings. The problem traced to the Microwave link feeding these buildings.

Voicemail integration with GMail outage on Monday November 20, 2023

On November 20, 2023, the CCS telecom team received alerts that voicemail messages are not copied to gmail for the users who opted to this service. The telecom team is working with the vendor to investigate and will keep you updated.

The telecom team reinstated the product’s license and the integration between voicemail and gmail resumed
