Network outage at YNG building on Monday February 12, 2018 at 3:55 PM

On Monday February 12, 2018 at 3:55 PM, a network outage was reported at 415 Yonge St. building. Network Services team is investigating the problem.

Update: 7:20 PM: The problem was caused by a malfunctioning network switch. Service was restored at 5 PM.

BPEL service outage: Friday, Feb. 9, 2018

The BPEL service that supports the real time integration between eHR and RMS failed to start at 6:30 am today during the regularly scheduled rebooting process.  The HR eAppoint service has been impacted.   CCS technical staff is working on resolving the issue as soon as possible.

Update: The BPEL service was restored around 3:40 PM.

Network outage at DSQ 3rd floor on Monday February 5, 2018 at 9:50 AM

On Monday February 5, 2018 at 9:50 AM, a network switch failed causing a network outage at DSQ 3rd floor. Network Services team replaced the switch and services resumed at 10:20 AM .

WiFi outage at YDI and TRSM on Monday February 5, 2018 at 9:00 AM

On Monday February 5, 2018, at 9:00 AM the wireless connectivity at YDI & TRSM was intermittent. Network services staff moved the wireless access points to a backup wireless controller and services were resumed at 9:25 AM.

Lynda.com service outage – Friday, Feb. 2, 2018

At approximately 3:30 pm, Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, Single Sign On to lynda.com stopped working for Ryerson users. lynda.com has been notified about the issue. Users already logged into lynda.com were not impacted. This page will be updated when we receive more information.

Update – 11:23 AM Feb. 5, 2018 – The issue has been fixed. If you still have issues logging on to Lynda.com,  please follow instruction here to clear your browser’s cache.

eHR service outage: Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018

At approximately 1 PM, today, February 3, 2018, the eHR system became unavailable due to a file system problem.  The server was rebooted and services restored around 1:25 PM.  Technical staff are investigating the cause of the problem with the vendor.

D2L Brightspace – Issue with email – Friday, January 26, 2017

On Friday, January 26, 2018 starting at approximately 9:30 a.m. emails sent from D2L Brightspace were not being delivered at Ryerson. This has been reported to D2L, and they have acknowledged that there was an issue with their email server earlier today. D2L informed us that it was resolved by their team around 12:30 pm.  CCS is still attempting to confirm that the issue has been resolved.

We continue working with D2L to resolve this issue. We apologize for any problems this is causing.

Update: as of 4:30 PM on Friday, the issue is resolved.

Network outage at EPH 1st floor on Thursday January 25, 2018

On Thursday January 25, 2018 at 9:30 AM, electrical power was lost in the telecom closet servicing the network on the 1st floor of the EPH building. This is causing a network outage at this location. FMD is working on restoring power.

Update:

At 2:00 PM power restored to the telecom room and network services resumed

Network outage at YDI 9th floor on Monday January 22, 2018

On Monday January 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM, CCS received reports about intermittent network access in YDI 9th floor. The Network Services team is investigating the problem.

Update:

Problem traced to a bad fibre cable. Network Services moved the connection to another link and services resumed properly at 11:34 AM
