Starting around 11:00 AM, Nov. 4th, our email system experienced delivery delays of up to 15 minutes. These delays are due to an incorrectly configured mailing list that was replied-to numerous times and generated over a hundred thousand messages during a short period of time. We put these messages on a lower priority queue and released them gradually. At 3:20 PM, the mail delivery time was returned to normal. CCS staff continue to investigate ways to mitigate issues like this.
