UPDATE: DNS problem affecting e-mail delivery to Ryerson – Thursday, April 12 2012

The DNS appliance’s vendor recommended some manual changes to be done on both the internal and external DNS servers to force the synchronization of data.  These changes will take an hour or two to be propagated through external DNS servers.   There should be a noticeable improvement as as the  changes progress.

We have received reports that e-mail delivery from some external sites to Ryerson failed due to a DNS (Domain Name Service) lookup resolution failure.  Technical Support is troubleshooting the issue with the DNS appliance vendor.
